A-LEVEL results were announced across the UK this morning, and it was another joyful morning at Stroud High School with 13 per cent earning A*s.
A spokesman for Stroud High School said: "It is always a privilege to be in a school on results day.
"The girls have worked hard for two years and many of them will be celebrating their own individual success.
"We are delighted that 13 per cent of all entries were at A* level. Special mention must go to the girls who studied English Literature who this year, achieved 23 per cent A* grades.
"Over 37 per cent of grades were at A or A* which will enable many girls to take up their first choice university offers.
"The transition to linear A-level has presented numerous challenges and I would like to thank all of the staff for their continued hard work, dedication and professionalism."
