COTSWOLD Canals Trust volunteers will be out on the towpath this Sunday, asking people what they think of the canal restorations and whether they support more restoration.
CCT wants to know opinions for two reasons - they will support a planning application for permission to recreate the Missing Mile of canal from the A38 to Eastington and they are also needed to support a bid for financial support to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Cotswold Canals Trust and Stroud District Council are leading a partnership of eight organisations committed to completing the restoration of the Stroudwater Navigation from Saul Junction to The Ocean near Stonehouse.
Volunteers will be at Upper Lock Wallbridge and Ebley Mill in Stroud and Blunder Lock near Eastington.
They will ask people to fill in a brief questionnaire.
If people need more information, the team will have leaflets about the next stages of canal restoration and the proposed planning application.
More information about canal restoration, and especially about the recreation of the Missing Mile, will be displayed at two events at Whitminster Village Hall on Friday, September 1, from 6.30 to 9pm and Saturday 2 September from 10am to 4pm.
The questionnaire will be available there too and will also be online at cotswoldcanals.com
