POLICE helicopters and fire services were called to reports of a possible explosion this morning in Edge.
It was thought to involve an electric pylon, but when police searched nothing was found.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 10.45am today (Wednesday) to reports of a possible explosion being heard and the caller believed it could have been an electric pylon.
"Police officers, the National Police Air Service and the fire service attended Edge in Stroud to try and locate the cause.
"After an extensive search nothing has been discovered in the area and officers were called off."
