WYNN’S Coffee in Stonehouse hopes to reopen within the next two weeks following a ram-raid by burglars last Thursday.

The offenders are believed to have reversed a dark coloured vehicle up to the shop and smashed a window with a large piece of wood which was sticking out of the back.

They then entered the property and stole the till.

Caroline Wynn, owner of the coffee shop, said: “Well I need to sort things out with the insurance company, but I hope that I can reopen in no more than two weeks’ time.

“If I can open earlier than that, that would be great, it’s just frustrating at the moment because this is my income and I’m losing money by not being open.”

Burglars stole a till from a café in Stonehouse High Street during the early hours of Thursday morning in a ram-raid.

A member of the public reported the incident at Wynn’s Coffee Co. in Stonehouse High Street at around 3am.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward and say the offenders are believed to be two men, one of whom was wearing a dark coloured hoodie and light trousers.

Many regular customers have been left distressed by the incident.

Following the incident Caroline’s daughter Stephanie thanked everyone for their concern on the GL10 Facebook page.

“On behalf of my mum and on behalf of Wynn’s Coffee Co. we would like to thank everyone for their comments and concerns at this sensitive time,” she wrote.

“The police have been incredible and are working to get the incident solved.

“We are going to try and get open again as soon as possible”

Officers investigating the incident are viewing CCTV footage and making local enquiries but would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in Stonehouse or saw the vehicle as it made off from the scene.
