The search began at 6.30pm near Rodborough Common
POLICE officers, assisted by a helicopter, successfully found missing 80-year-old Stroud man John Black last night.
The police helicopter had been circling near The Prince Albert Pub, and both Minchinhampton and Rodborough Common.
The search began at around 6.30pm where John was last seen walking on Rodborough Common.
Thankfully John was found safe and well at around 8.15pm.
David Moore spotted John wandering in the rain in Ryeford, close to Stroud Cricket Club. He had been unsure of his address.
Rain and wind hindered the search as Storm Aileen approached.
