FOREST GREEN boss Mark Cooper expects free agent Isaiah Osbourne to give his side bite.
Osbourne is expected to play some part in tonight's League Two clash against Swindon Town and Cooper is excited by the arrival of the robust midfielder, who he hopes will add something defensively that the team has been missing to date.
“Ossie (Isaiah Osbourne) has been with us a few weeks and we like what we see,” he said.
“He has played all his football in the Football League or the Scottish Premier.
“He gives us a little bit of bite right in front of the back four and can give us a bit of aggressiveness and defensive mindedness in midfield, which is probably what we have been looking for.”
And Osbourne comes with a glowing reference from Forest Green left-back Scott Laird, according to Cooper, who added: "I spoke to Lairdy (Scott Laird) about him and he spoke highly of him and said he was their best player last year, but for one reason or another he decided not to stay at Walsall, he wanted to look at his options and we’re lucky to get him."
