YOUNG photographers were celebrated at an award’s ceremony on Wednesday.
The Young Photographer of the Year competition sought pictures from youngsters in Stroud district.
This year the competition includes the Richard Pearse Memorial Prize.
Named after the former chairman of Stroud Camera Club, who died in April, it saw the SNJ award £100 to the young photographer who submits a picture which Richard - a former teacher at Maidenhill School and Wycliffe College - would have liked best, as chosen by judges.
First prize in each age group was a Gloucestershire Camera Club £150 voucher donated by Renishaw, second was a £75 voucher from Sigma Freight Systems, while third place receives a £50 voucher courtesy of London Camera Exchange.
Prizes were presented by BBC Points West presenter Sabet Choudhury.
Abi Luckham won the Richard Pearse Memorial Prize, presented by SNJ assistant editor Tamash Lal.
Joel Osborn won the Under 14 category, second place was Isabelle Hardy and third was Theo Jones.
In the 14-18 category, Rebecca Eastment came first, followed by Mollie Carter and Helen Rogers.
