A DAZZLING event in Five Valleys life is fast approaching, as the Five Valleys Fireworks is back for another amazing spectacle.

The Rotary Five Valleys Fireworks will take place on Monday, October 23, at Marling School playing fields in Cainscross Road, Stroud.

The largest professional firework event across the area is once again organised by the Rotary Clubs of Stroud, Stonehouse and Nailsworth.

For more than 50 years, the ever-popular family friendly event has raised almost £250,000 for various charities.

Profits go to support local good causes and charities, with at least half the profits directed towards young people in acknowledgement that the event originally started at Ebley Children’s Home.

The charities supported this year are Stonehouse Scout Group, Cotswold Boat Mobility, Great Western Air Ambulance, Best for Ben, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Gloucestershire Young Carers, Allsorts, Stroud Community Awards and Kick Out, Stroud.

The amazing firework display is designed and choreographed to music by British firework champions of champions, Star Fireworks.

Attractions include John Coneleys Fun Fair, food and drink. Under 12s will be entertained with Punch and Judy shows free-of-charge before the display.

The fantastic display costs £8 for adults and £4 for children on the gate, but advance tickets purchased online at fivevalleysfireworks.org.uk are 33 per cent cheaper.
