CYCLISTS have been invited to a meeting to suggest ways of making Stroud a more bike-friendly town.
The town council want to know which projects in the Neighbourhood Development Plan are a priority to cyclists.
“Cycling has great health benefits, as well as environmental benefits which is why the Town Council is leading the initiative on what can be done to encourage more people to use their bikes," said Town Mayor Kevin Cranston.
"Especially with the new generation of electric-assisted bikes, which makes a hilly town like Stroud much more bike accessible.
“One of the priorities is to make our roads - especially junctions - safer for cyclists.
"I recently visited Access Bike and learned that there is a huge demand for bikes and the facilities to ride them safely.”
The meeting takes place at the town council offices, Thanet House, London Road on Tuesday, October 17 at 6pm.
