REVELLERS came from miles around to celebrate the opening of Keith Allen’s new nightclub The Marshall Rooms on Friday.

Bands filled the stage, people filled the dance floor and everyone filled their drinks.

In a post online the owners said: “That was a fantastic weekend, thanks for coming down and supporting us.

“We are well into planning the next years events, but we would love your feedback from the weekend.”

The nightclub is in the former home of Twisted Fix in Nelson Street and is owned by Lotte Lyster, Tom De Brabant and Keith Allen, whose wife Tamzin Malleson runs The Diner next door.

A famous face was seen on Friday, actor Patrick Baladi, who was in The Office and now stars in Stella, attended with his wife Janie.

Lotte said: “The evening went splendidly, we had a real cross selection of Stroudies in and some people came from as far as Cheltenham, Bristol and beyond.

“We still have a bit of work to do but overall Tom, Keith and I are delighted with the response we got from our first customers this weekend.

“There is a fantastic mixed bag of events coming up - we have the Nasty Women weekend starting with an Art Auction raising funds for the Orchid centre on Saturday night, followed by Block Party’s 2016 headliner Queen Bee.

“The web site will be launched very soon so then everyone will know what we have on and how to get tickets.

“At the moment its entry on the door and prices will vary for different events.”
