A SINGING duo raised the roof when they performed a charity show at King’s Stanley Village Hall.

Jersey Beyond, a tribute and pop music act made up of James Woods and Keith Marshall raised more than £1,100 for Allsorts Gloucestershire.

Allsorts supports children with disabilities and provides any additional help to parents and families.

The duo raised around £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Bullying UK at a similar charity show back in February.

However, they decided to donate the funds from their show on Friday, October 6 more locally.

“Macmillan’s and Bullying UK are both brilliant charities,” said James who has lived in the Stroud area all his life.

“However, this time we wanted to donate the money a bit more locally to a charity that will be grateful for the donation.”

James, 29, and Keith, 24, met in 2015 when they performed boyband covers on the holiday island of Menorca.

They did another holiday season in 2016 but since then have become a permanent duo, touring all over the UK performing Rat Pack and Jersey Boys covers.

Keith who is originally from Sheffield has now moved to the Stroud District and they are both currently living in Stonehouse.

Despite also having a residence in London they still enjoy singing at home.

“It’s always great performing in your local area and doing it for a good cause,” said James.

“There was a brilliant turnout in King’s Stanley the other week and we are hoping to go bigger next year, perhaps we could fill out the Sub Rooms in Stroud.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to see us and make it all worthwhile.”
