ROADWORKS across Stroud are causing chaos for commuters.
Four-way traffic lights have been installed at the Cainscross roundabout due to work being carried out on a burst pipe in Westward Road
This work is being carried out by Severn Trent Water and should be finished by tomorrow (October 27).
Meanwhile there are temporary traffic lights in place on Gloucester Road, A46 Beeches Green and B4070 Slad Road.
These lights are in place as Western Power Distribution carry out urgent excavation to locate and repair an LV cable fault.
Above - the traffic lights have now been cleared from the Cainscross roundabout.
This work is likely to continue until Monday, October 30.
There are also heavy delays on the A46 Bath Road, this is due to temporary traffic lights on Rodborough Hill put in place while BT carry out work.
Stroud police are advising people to avoid the Cainscross roundabout and avoid the centre of town.
The roadworks at Cainscross roundabout are causing traffic build-up on surrounding roads. Use alternate routes to avoid delays #PC2448
