A STROUD man who assaulted his own sister in her home has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Jack Kimber, 21, of Dallaway Estate, Thrupp, Stroud, admitted the offence when he appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The assault took place in Stroud on May 30.
Magistrates gave him an 18-week jail sentence suspended for two years and imposed a drug rehabilitation requirement.
Kimber also admitted assaulting a stranger, described as a vulnerable man, on the same day.
For that offence, he was ordered to pay compensation of £200.
Kimber was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.
