BROTHERS Jason Lee and Kevin Howlett will be stepping into the limelight at Stroud Subscription Rooms tonight, Saturday, November 11, to raise vital funds for Southmead Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The special evening of world-class entertainment will celebrate the two musicians’ nephews lives, saved by the staff at the Bristol hospital, as well as raising funds to support the medical team’s work with other families.

Headlining the event is The Four Harmonies, a sensational vocal harmony group that cover the music from Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, The Beach Boys, The Temptations, The Drifters and many more.

Jason Lee Howlett one of the harmony group members explained the motivation behind putting on the event: “My nephews were born at 24 weeks so they were very premature.

They were taken to Southmead Hospital where we were told they only had a small chance of survival.

The nurses were so amazing not just because they helped the twins, but also in the support that they gave my brother and his wife.

They do this on a daily basis and if we can raise as much money as possible it will go to help NICU with needed funds to help many other families going through this very hard time.”

Southmead Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides intensive care, high dependency care, special care and transitional care for hundreds of babies each year.

As well as caring for babies who are born too soon or with health conditions in their first weeks of life, the team of staff support parents through what can be a very difficult journey.

Charlie and Freddie Howlett have just celebrated their second birthday, and parents James and Nadine Howlett have invited nurses from the team who saved their sons lives to enjoy the evening as a thank you.

“The nurses were so fantastic, we want the evening to be a celebration of how far our boys have come with some of the people who helped them to reach their recent birthday,” dad James Howlett told the SNJ.

Opening the evening with an acoustic set will be Kevin Howlett, known locally for his Bandit workshops for aspiring musicians.

Mum and dad Nadine and James have kindly agreed to allow us to share their personal video of Freddie and Charlie’s journey in the hope of boosting the donations they raise for the special neonatal unit.

“If you can not come along to the Charity Concert but would like to donate we would really appreciate it,” James told us.
