Reader's Letter: Crowd fund
EARLIER this year, Stroud District Council said they no longer wanted the cost of running Stroud Sub Rooms.
At that time they stated they would consider three different options
1) continue to run ‘in house’
2) sell to a cash buyer or
3) hand over to an organisation willing and able to independently run the Sub Rooms.
It now appears that just because someone is waving cash at them, all other offers to take over the management and running costs of the Sub Rooms also now have to find a purchase price.
Come on SDC – if you’re going to move the goal posts, give Stroud Trust time to crowd fund – this community knows they can do it!
