I VISITED the George Room in the Sub Rooms last Saturday to see the proposals for the future of the building.
I had a vested interest having worked in the tourist information centre from 1988 until I retired in 2005.
There was very little mention of this wonderful facility which has gone from strength to strength.
I then visited the tourist information office where as usual they were helping and advising people on a busy Saturday morning, booking tickets and suggesting ways of enjoying our wonderful countryside.
This office has been through many changes during the last 29 years but who ever has worked there have always given 100 per cent.
It would be a great pity if this was lost and hope anyone reading this will agree with me.
