THE Door Youth Project has announced that the popular charity Christmas concert, Christmas Presence will be taking place on Thursday, December 14, 7:30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Stroud.

The event will include performances from The Stroud Light Music Choir, Megan Strachan, Becky Elliott and Gemma Cornelius with guest soloist Tazmin Barnes.

The performers will be accompanied by a string quartet from the Stroud Symphony Orchestra and pianist Matthew Sharp.

As well as enjoying the soloists and choir, audience members will also be able to join in with some traditional Christmas carols.

Money raised by the concert will go towards local charity The Door Youth Project which supports young people aged 11-25 and their families throughout the Stroud District.

Anne Townsend, community fundraiser for the Door, said: “Christmas Presence is one of the real highlights in the Door’s calendar, it’s always a lovely evening and great to see many of our supporters come together around Christmas.

“We are really excited to have such a variety of performers at this year’s concert from Opera to Disney, classic carols and film tunes.

“We are also especially pleased to welcome Tazmin Barnes back to Stroud for a second year following her success supporting Mary-Jess at Christmas Presence 2016.

"Furthermore we would like to say big thank you to TSB Stroud and Panacea for their continued support and sponsorship.”
