This weekend will see the Sub Rooms host the town’s first vegan fair, with a host of meat-free alternatives available from dozens of companies and organisations.

Hundreds of visitors are expected to attend the event on Saturday which will not only showcase delicious meat-free food to tempt taste buds, but will also provide the opportunity to browse over 30 stands featuring vegan clothing and accessories, health and beauty products, crafts and lifestyle brands.

Event organiser Daisy Botha explained why Saturday’s event was expected to be so popular: “This day isn’t just for people who have been celebrating Veganuary or who are interested in following a healthy, vegan diet,” she said

“It’s also a great opportunity to explore some of the wonderful food and other treats that small businesses in our area work so hard to produce,” she continued.

Some of the great businesses pitching up for the day include: The Domestique Bike Café, Seitans Grill, Tiffin delights, Baked by Beth, Sarah Juniper Shoes, Sea Shepherd UK, Forest Green Rovers and Tubby Toms.

Doors will be open for the much anticipated first Stroud Vegan Fair from 10am this Saturday. Tickets £3, under 12s free.
