Fire at Ryeford Industrial estate in Stonehouse causing power problems across the district
A FIRE has torn through an electrical substation at the Ryeford Industrial estate in Stonehouse.
Traffic lights on the Ebley bypass have been affected and parts of Stroud and Stonehouse are expected to suffer power loss.
Police were called to reports that a substation was on fire at the Ryeford Industrial Estate in Stonehouse at around 10.45am.
A video shows a small blast followed by flames and smoke pouring from the substation.
The fire service attended and the fire has now been put out.
Western Power are in attendance trying to restore the electricity.
