THE 6th series of Winterwatch returned this week featuring the National Trust Sherbourne Park Estate in Gloucestershire.
Tuesday night’s episode presented by Michaela Strachan, Martin Hughes-Games and Chris Packham, saw Martin catching up with the red kites, a huge flock of birds returning to Sherbourne to roost in the estate’s treetops.
Michaela and Chris update viewers on the goings on at Sherbourne, with a 24 hour round up on camera detailing the lengths animals go to too survive in the winter.
Finally, they attempt to track down two winter visitors to the park, a butcher bird and Britain’s largest finch, the hawfinch.
