HISTORIANS, poets, musicians and authors will be offering an alternative history of Stroud next weekend as they explore the hidden past of the area.

Award-winning authoer Alice Jolly will read from her new book set in the Stroud valleys


Daytime events will include walks, talks and an interactive exhibition space, with plenty of activities to keep children entranced while adults are enthralled.

Angela Findlay will offer an insight into the symbols in Stroud Cemetery, as well as some of the inhabitants of the unmarked graves.


Once the sun sets on the daytime counter heritage family activities, Jonny Fluffypunk, will compere an evening of more adult entertainment, from Uta Baldauf, Adam Horovitz, Josef Reeve and Muddy Summers & the DFWs.

Stroud Theatre Festival's John Bassett will read his wonderful  Soldier & the Snaggles to children at 10.30am this Saturday
Ben Vacara and Mr Mulatto will close the night on the decks with the legendary free-party DiY black box sound system.

Situation Sounds will take on a late night slot in the 'after dark' programme for those who want to dance the nigth away.
