POLICE are appealing for the public's help to trace a man, who is wanted in connection with a stabbing in Quedgeley on Friday evening.

Officers would like to speak to Steven Hudson, 27 and from Gloucester, in relation to a report of an altercation which resulted in a man suffering a single stab wound.

He has links to Bournemouth and Plymouth.

At approximately 9pm on Friday police were called to an incident at a property in Mendip Close, Quedgeley which is believed to have involved a group of men.

Police were later alerted by the ambulance service that a man aged in his 30s had suffered a serious abdominal stab wound.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and remains there at this time.

Two men from Gloucester, a 43-year-old and a 23-year-old, were both arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
