PAINSWICK Playgroup’s annual Easter Egg hunt is fast approaching.

More than 30 beautifully designed eggs will be hidden around the village for all the family to find.

Everyone who completes a trail will be awarded with a chocolate prize.

The theme for this year’s hunt is fairy tales and there are a vast number of attractions to keep everyone entertained.

These include live music, bouncy castles, food and craft stalls, as well as a delicious homemade cake stall, tombola, face painting and much more.

There will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, with plenty of opportunities to have your photo taken with him. And don’t forget to bring your favourite cuddly toy for the Teddy Bear Parachuting from the church spire.

The hunt takes place at St Mary’s Church and village centre on Saturday, March 31 from 12pm-4pm.

Maps for the event are now on sale from The Falcon Pub, the library or the Playgroup in Painswick, and will be £3 in advance or £4 on the day per child (under 2s are free).

Plenty of free parking will be available at the Painswick Recreation Ground in addition to the usual parking around the village and at Stamages Lane Car Park.

All money raised goes directly to Painswick Playgroup to improve facilities for the children.

The playgroup is a non-profit making, charitable organisation run by the community and has recently retained its Outstanding Ofsted status.
