FOREST GREEN ROVERS are challenging fans to run a mile and raise some money for Sports Relief.

The club has booked the Nailsworth Primary School field next to The New Lawn at 1.30pm on Saturday for fans to stretch their legs and support a good cause.

Face-painting for kids will take place and there will be bucket collections for the charity, with runners also given free water and fruit from B&S Fruit in Stonehouse.

Everyone who completes the mile will be invited onto the pitch before kick-off at 2.30pm for a picture by the dugouts.

It’s the latest in a big week of community activity for the club, following the EFL Day of Action on Tuesday and a Fit2Last session at FGR on Thursday with Crudwell Primary School.
