POLICE officers are appealing for two people to come forward after they helped a woman following an incident in Stroud.
At approximately 2.45pm on Tuesday, 20 March a woman was assaulted on the canal path near to Waitrose in Stroud.
Two people helped the victim and alerted Waitrose staff, who called the police.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries.
A 22-year-old man from Stroud was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed to return to police next month.
Officers would like to speak to the couple and would ask for them to call police on 101 quoting incident 260 of 20 March.
