A dementia home in Frampton is calling for local businesses to donate prizes for a charity raffle.
The draw takes place during a quiz night on April 28 in Standish Village Hill starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets costs £8.50, and proceeds will go to Alzheimer's UK as well as directly to the care home itself.
Lisa Tremlin, who heads up the Old Vicarage, hopes the money raised could pay for the “residents to enjoy a day out or nice benches for the garden.”
Quizzers will also be treated to a ploughmans that will be “locally sourced,” says Katie Moore who’s helping to run the quiz and whose mum is in care at the Old Vicarage.
She says the money will also help support the gardening, colouring, knitting, sewing and baking activities the Old Vicarage provides for residents.
The quiz is part of Alzheimer’s UK’s Mighty Quiz campaign, which is putting the nation to the test to raise money for the fight against dementia.
Anyone who wants to lend a hand, provide a prize, or attend the quiz, contact Katie Moore on 07551939777 or at moo.katie@btinternet.com
