TO CELEBRATE the queens coronation a show will be held seeking to make Victorian pieces more accessible to the public.

It is 1953, and as the country gears up for the coronation of Elizabeth II the actors at Oakridge Film Studios have prepared to shoot a glamorous new technicolor movie.

Director, Simon Moss said: "These are not really operas they are early British musicals, just as funny and moving as the musicals of today."

Visitors can meet the actors who will play the key roles as life starts to imitate art, leading to comedy and tragedy in equal measure.

The Yeomen of the Guard will be shown from Wednesday, April 18 to 22 taking place between 7.30pm and 10pm.

Tickets are available for £12 with the show taking place at The Cotswold Playhouse on Parliament Street.
