THE OWNER of a popular Stroud bistro, which closed its doors last month, has announced exciting new plans for the business starting with an exclusive sushi banquet.

No 23 Bar & Bistro closed its doors at the beginning of April after six years of trading on Nelson Street.

Owner Alex Jamieson told the SNJ that she was planning on taking ‘a short break and before announcing an exciting new project.’

Today Alex has explained that the popular foodie destination will be reopening but with an exciting new approach.

“The response when we announced that we were closing the bistro was amazing,” she said.

“I couldn’t walk down the street without someone stopping me to tell me how much they're going to miss the bistro.

“But after six years we felt that we needed to refresh the way we were doing things, and offer the discerning diners of Stroud something more.”

Spaces are limited for the sushi and sake dining experience and those keen to book a table are encouraged to be quick to avoid disappointment.

“We are restricting the number of tables for the event to ensure that everyone has the best experience,” owner Alex explained.

“But keep your eyes peeled, because we have plans for many more special dining events over the coming months.”
