STROUD'S first totally organic restaurant is celebrating their 20-year anniversary.

Co-owner Holly took over the UK's first organic cafe, in 2003 and has worked there since it was established in 1998.

She has a great relationship with the founder of the business Helen, who opened the restaurant to offer natural whole foods due to her special dietary requirements.

Today Holly runs the business with husband and head chef Raoul Moore.

Over the years their reputation has gone from strength to strength, having been featured in Vogue, Marie Claire and Cotswold Life magazine.

Unsurprisingly, the organic café in the High Street has established a fantastic relationship with the community.

The menu is predominately vegetarian with a few fish options and is made from seasonal organic produce and nutritious whole foods.

Food is locally sourced from the Stroud Farmers' Market and Sunshine Health Shop amongst other suppliers.

As a family business the food is made from scratch by Holly’s brother and head chef Raoul.

They are also joined by Holly and Raoul's two daughters who work in the kitchen on Saturdays.

Holly said: “I worked at Sunshine Health Shop at the age of 15, as I grew up in Stroud,” discussing her inspiration for the café.

In 2015 Holly and Raoul took on a new business venture catering for some of the Cotswolds finest weddings and events.

Raoul said: “One couple had a blueberry cheesecake at our café during their first date.”

They came back and asked us to cater for their wedding, it’s great to know you can have a positive impact on people’s lives.”

To celebrate their anniversary, Raoul and Holly are offering 10 per cent off vouchers which can be cut out in this weeks paper on Wednesday.

The vouchers will expire on Saturday, June 30.

“We want to give a massive thank you to all our customers for 20 brilliant years,” added Raoul.
