A WOMAN has died following a collision in Stroud this morning, two people have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Police received a report of a collision in Cainscross Road at around 4.50am which involved a cyclist.
The cyclist, an 82-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol where she later died.
Her next of kin has been informed.
A 39-year-old-man and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Roads in the area have now re-opened and Gloucestershire Constabulary would like to thank members of the public for their patience during a very busy time.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information which would help with enquiries.
They would particularly like to speak to a man who was walking near Beards Lane, heading towards Cainscross Road, at about 4.50am as he may have seen a vehicle drive past at speed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 22 of 23 April.
