The marathon took place from April 6 to 16 across the Sahara Desert where temperatures may reach up to 50 degrees celsius.

Sabrina described how participants were completely self-sufficient carrying all survival gear in what has become known as the toughest foot race on earth.

Athletes must carry their own backpack containing food, sleeping gear and other material, whilst making an effort to keep its weight below 15 kilograms.

She ran in support of the Stroud charity Allsorts who help families with children who have disabilities.

The charity is particularly close to her heart because of her niece and nephew, who have varying forms of autism spectrum disorder.

In support of the charity, a massive £6000 was raised exceeding her target of £5000.

"The marathon was a gruelling experience, but I had loads of support from friends and family back home," said Sabrina.

"In my camp I met a man from Dursley, it was nice to be with a local person and we really helped support one another."
