NEW ATTRACTIONS and street food stalls will feature at the annual Family Fun Day in Stratford Park this Sunday.

As well as the new brand youth venue complete with a silent disco, recent additions include wall climbing, a drumming tent, labyrinth, games marquee and special zone for disabled guests.

Additionally, popular diablo freestyler Matt Pacey will return for a second time with music provided by London motown and soul band Echo.

Phil Jones from Inspire Drums will be performing a drum solo, leading an interactive drum circle on the bandstand.

Event organiser, Phil Coysh, said: "The whole idea is to unite the community in an atmosphere of fun and celebration.

"We have designed the event so that there is something for everyone, from toddlers right through to young at heart grandparents.

"Teenagers will enjoy the silent disco and youth chill out zone, dads will love the diablo freestyler and everyone will enjoy the band," added Phil.

Last year around 3000 people attended the fun day and so Rt Rev Rachel Treweek, Bishop of Gloucester, who is opening the event will hope this year is the biggest and best yet.

There will be even more food options this year with a new pizza stall by Velo Pizzas, passion and soul food from American delights, a crepe stall from Cotswold Crepes and Girish’s vegan Indian food.

This year the Family Fun Day will take place at 2pm by the bandstand in Stratford Park this Sunday.
