FOR seven days every year bakers up and down the country sell doughnuts in aid of charity.

National Doughnut Week has been described as a unique opportunity for bakers, cafes and companies to raise money for The Children's Trust by donating money for every doughnut they sell.

The Children's Trust are the UK's leading charity for children with brain injuries and run specialist care and education centres throughout the country.

This year over 114 craft bakers, coffee shops and companies are taking part in the national week, according to figures from the charity.

In fact, Australian brand Doughnut Time, has created themed doughnuts in celebration of both National Doughnut Week and the Royal wedding.

The pair have been thoughtfully named When Harry Met Meghan and Meghan Sparkle.

They include a set of cream glazed Forrero Rocher's and a buttered popcorn doughnut, glazed with marshmallow popcorn, sprinkles and a sparkling tiara.

National doughnut week lasts from May 12 to 19, so before you lose the chance get involved or pop down to your local bakery.
