Guideposts Community Hub in Stroud is branching out to offer a new seasonally themed art and craft group for adults with learning disabilities.

The very first group will start on Thursday, June 28, and run from 10am to 3pm with art and craft activities inspired by the summer season- using flowers, leaves and natural items found in parks and gardens.

The fantastic and creative work carried out by the group throughout the seasons will be shared with the local community in an exhibition later in the year.

Guideposts has just celebrated its forty-fifth anniversary and is going from strength to strength.

In addition to the Hub in Stroud, Guideposts provides a day centre in Gloucester for people who are living with dementia, a Gloucester lunch club for people who are living with dementia and their carer, a music therapy service, and coordinates the Gloucestershire Carers Emergency Scheme.

If you have a learning disability and love being creative or think you might have undiscovered art or craft talent and would like to join this new group or want to find out more, please call Steve 01453 767888 or 07894 256222 or email sgazzard@guideposts.org.uk
