POLICE are investigating the possible theft of a clutch of swan eggs in Frampton-on-Severn.
The clutch of eggs is thought to have been taken between May 16 and 17.
Crime liaison officer for Stroud, PC Mel Campbell said that the community wants to find the culprit.
“Members of the community are very concerned about the possible theft of these swan eggs and have asked for our help,” said Mel.
Additionally, mystery surrounds the disappearance of swan eggs from Stratford Park in Stroud.
Concerns have also been raised about two adult swans and their seven cygnets who have gone missing from the canal at Ebley.
It is not known at this stage whether they have been stolen, but there are no obvious signs of predators and the swans suffered a similar fate last year.
Please call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 190 of May 18 with information.
