STROUD'S own jazz festival will return for its third year running this weekend.

Jazz Stroud will incorporate three days of artist-led music that looks to embrace all aspects of the jazz spectrum, ranging from the more traditional forms of jazz to improvised electronic music, experimental hip-hop and more.

The festival will merge free daytime events, evening concerts, late night live sessions and club nights, so the weekend should provide something for everyone.

Kicking off the event are Jacqueline and the Sensations who will be performing this Friday at the Imperial Hotel between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

Her music has been described as a unique approach to lyrical sound-scaping which provides unusual, eclectic compositions for her audiences to embrace.

Along with this the weekend will include a vast range of performers.

Jazz Stroud has grown year on year and thanks must be said to SVA who have played a big part in building up the local jazz scene.

Of course with help from world-class performers such as Gilad Atzmon and Andy Sheppard.

This years festival will take place from Friday, May 25 up until Sunday, May 27 with acts playing at the SVA, The Goods Shed, The Imperial Hotel, The Imperial Hotel, The Marshall Rooms and The Ale House.
