THE BEAUTY Barn in Stroud has bagged first-prize for best hair salon at the Muddy Stiletto awards.

After the salons one year anniversary earlier this month, Lorna Marsh, owner of the business, was thrilled to receive the award when it was announced last Saturday.

In addition, Lorna, joined by makeup artist and employee Sarah Adam, entered into the National Makeup Artistry Awards with both claiming a first place award.

Model,  Amy Smith, represented The Beauty Barn and came first for fashion and hair in the Victoria's Secret themed fashion competition.

Along with this, Sarah claimed first place in the fashion and makeup category.

Both Sarah and Lorna are passionate and creative professionals who put their heart into their work and wanted to test their abilities under pressure in a professional competition.

Talking to Sarah she described how it was a special day with each of them winning an award.

"The competition itself was very rewarding and it was so much fun taking part," said Sarah.

Located in Stratford Court on Stratford Road, the Beauty Barn offers award winning hairdressing and a variety of treatments.
