Six years ago today, more than 20,000 people cheered on the Olympic Torch as it wound its way through Stroud.
Beneath pale blue skies and a dazzling summer sun, large crowds gathered on pavements and in side streets to roar the Torchbearers forth on Wednesday, May 23 2012.
The torch had just made its way from Painswick, where 6,000 people turned out.
We've collected our photos from the day above.
