AN ESCAPED snake believed to be a household pet was seen in Park Street in Nailsworth this Sunday
This was brought to the attention of the SNJ by community Facebook page, Nailsworth Chat & Information.
"It's brown with white stripes and is believed to be a non-venomous Kingsnake," said resident Simon Ellis who came across the reptile.

They are called Kingsnakes because they sometimes eat other and are popular among pet owners, according to Live Science.
Residents quickly sprung to the aid of the Kingsnake offering to provide it temporary residence until the owner is located.
However, it was mentioned that the snake is not the first to go missing in the town.
It is unknown at this stage whether the Kingsnake has been returned to it's owner.
