FOR NATIONAL Bike Week the Forestry Commission are encouraging families to get on their bikes.

Cycling is an excellent way to experience the outdoors and is a fantastic way to keep the family healthy.

In fact, research has shown that cycling can improve a child’s mood and active travel to school can increase concentration for up to 4 hours.

That’s why thousands of households already flock to the 1,300km of forest cycle trails the nation provides.

Due to our abundance of trails, the Forestry Commission are encouraging parents to teach their children how to ride.

With plenty of open space and off-road trails, Forestry Commission England believe they have the perfect places for children to start their cycling journey.
