AN OPEN day will be held in Sheepscombe to showcase the beauty of the common in June when wildlife is abundant, and the orchids are flowering.
Rare and special wildlife includes tree pipits and bee orchids but there will be displays of many other species on show in the limestone grasslands.
There will also be an opportunity to identify some of the commons wildlife and learn what makes Sheepscombe Common and Saint George’s Field so special.
To participate in the walks, call 07747 485136 or email kate.gamez@naturalengland.org.uk
Under 12s go free or tickets cost £5 per head or £3 concessions.
