PAGANHILL Community Group celebrated its first birthday in style with a successful street party last Saturday.
The group was formed in June last year following a fantastic summer party and they now meet once a month to plan many other events.
A number of residents from the Paganhill area helped form the community group with the aim of strengthening community ties after they received a grant from the Barnwood Trust last year.
This year’s street party took place in Archway Gardens with live music, a delicious barbecue, homemade cakes and refreshments.
A range of children's entertainment including face painting was also provided to keep the whole family happy.
In addition, they run a cafe/drop-in every Friday between 12pm and 5pm in the Maypole Hall.
In the future, all are welcome to pop along for a chat or to take part in crafts.
