What were the 1960s like in Stroud? Did the the Beatles ever play at the Sub Rooms?
Stroud’s local history society is putting on a Sixties night with music and pictures to give a taste of how the decade played out in town on Friday, July 20.
Doors open at Lansdown Hall at 7.30pm ahead of the era’s greatest tunes being played by the Boogie Bop Boys.
There will then be presentations of photos from the Sixties.
“Dance, sing, and dress up,” say the history society, which will be handing out prizes for the best outfits.
Tickets are £9 in advance and £10 on the door.
