A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a collision in Stroud earlier this year.
Michael Burke, 39 and of High Street, King's Stanley in Stonehouse was charged on Friday (29 June) and appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court the following day.
The charge is in connection with a collision in Cainscross Road in the early hours of 23 April.
Thelma Byard, an 82-year-old cyclist, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol but later died.
A 28-year-old woman from Stroud who was previously arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving will face no further police action.
Burke was bailed to next appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Thursday 12 July.
