Cotswold AONB Wardens’ Walks - A walk with orchids in mind through woodlands of Haresfield, Pitchcombe and Stockend takes place on Wednesday, July 4. Meet at Cripplegate NT car park. Stanley Singers - This Sunday, July 8 at 7.30pm: songs, serenades and sea shanties at King Stanley Village Hall. Tickets £5, raffle and refreshments. In aid of Stroud women’s refuge, part of the Beresford group.

Parkrun - Every Saturday promptly at 9am on the field on Oldends Lane. It is for everyone - experienced runners and beginners, old and young - just come along and join in. It is free for all. If you have ever wanted to take up a running this is for you. Come along and find out - you will be very welcome. And now every Sunday at 9am Junior Parkrun - for young people age 4 to 14. Slightly shorter distance - just 2k.

Stonehouse Library - On Mondays from 11.30am - 12 noon the library hosts story time for pre-school children. A new session for young children to discover the delights of hearing a story read to them. And every Wednesday at 10.30am the library welcomes toddlers for ‘Bounce & Rhyme’. The library also can provide books on prescription and a range of books on the ‘Reading Well’ scheme.
