A disability charity is holding a picnic in Stroud to remember a councillor who passed away last year.

Allsorts Gloucestershire is celebrating the life of Ryan Davis, a Chalford parish councillor with cerebral palsy, through a family day out featuring a BBQ, cakes, giant games, toy tombola and glitter tattoos at Archway School on Sunday, July 22 from 2pm to 4pm.

Ryan was an ambassador for the charity and had high political ambitions, hoping to become Stroud MP by 2020.

He died peacefully at his home surrounded by family in March 2017

The celebration will also see a balloon race as a fundraiser for Allsorts - tickets will be available to purchase on the day.

The event will include the introduction of a new annual boccia tournament called the Ryan Davis Cup.

To book onto the boccia tournament, please contact Max on max.pemberton@allsortsglos.org.uk before July 15.
