If you live in Stroud, you have probably been to Stroud Brewery - but did you know you can get there by a little known footpath?

Stroud Valleys Project, a charity that watches over the area’s wildlife, is holding its annual Walk to Stroud Brewery in a week’s time.

The charity will be leading walkers to the Brewery via an otherwise rarely trodden route on Friday, July 20 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm via Capel’s Mill, Arundel Millpond (both sites the charity has worked on) and the canal towpath.

Along the way, walkers will have the SVP’s projects explained to them and may get a glimpse of a heron or kingfisher.

It costs £10 for adults and £5 children - though sponsors of SVP get a discount, and the price includes a pint of beer or a soft drink.

Wood-fired pizza is also available at the Brewery.
