Muntchako

Brazilian band Muntchako comes to Stroud as part of their European tour, bringing their synthesis of three completely different musical backgrounds.

Electronic beats, guitarradas, synthesizers and the great vibes of the experienced instrumentalists all make Muntchako produce a sound that is instrumentally rich, extroverted and accessible.

Head to Amberley for an evening of food and music supplied by refugees. Music is provided by Dijwar Khalil playing Kurdish music on the saz, and the oud duo Nabra playing Sudanese music.

For food, a Kurdish feast will by supplied by members of Moveable Feast.

Country show

The Stroud Country Show offers local people and organisations an opportunity to entertain and inform people, and to show how they contribute to the unique and vibrant community that we all enjoy.

People of all ages will be showing their dogs, flowers, vegetables, art and craft work and photography, classic and vintage vehicles.

Garden trail

Painswick Rococo Garden are opening their brand new trail for the summer created with local illustrator Hannah Shaw.

Young adventurers will set out on a journey to help Snowdrop Bunny find all the items her friends have lost around the Garden.

Quo drummer

Original Status Quo drummer John Coghlan along with his great band brings you a night of vintage Quo from the period he performed with the band from 1962 to 1981.

For Quo fans and critics alike, this time is often regarded as Quo’s “classic” period.

Mill open days

The Stroudwater Textile Trust has been running open days for the mills it looks after through the spring and summer - and two are open on Saturday.

Enjoy historic working machinery at the Weaving Shed at Gigg Mill and Dunkirk Mill Museum.

Vegan fair

After the success of the first ever Stroud Vegan Fair in January, the event is back for the summer.

This time round organisers are planning to #keepitlocal and celebrate the best vegan products Gloucestershire area has to offer.

In addition to stalls, there will be an outdoor food court and talks throughout the day.

Bandstand concert

Malmesbury Concert Band will be playing a varied set of pieces from their repertoire at the Stratford Park bandstand.

The band comprises approximately 35 members playing woodwind, brass and percussion instruments and performs classical, popular and original wind band music.

Auditions open for the Bock/Harnick show She Loves Me, to be presented at the Cotswold Playhouse in Stroud in January 2019.

There are small and large roles for male and female adults of all ages.
