TWO mothers from Stroud have raised more than £1,000 for charity after having their heads shaved.
Rose Turvey and Alice Willow had their heads shaved outside Stroud Farmers' Market, next to Shambles Market, on Saturday, July 14.
The pair have raised £1,013 from online and text donations and £364 from the crowd in Stroud.
All the money raised will go to children's charity Sparks.
Alice and Rose also plan to donate their locks to The Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children going through hair loss due to illness.
Rose said: "A huge thank you to the people of Stroud and all our sponsors. We feel proud to have raised so much for Sparks."
Donations can still be made by texting 70070 ROAL52 £(amount) or by visiting justgiving.com/rose-alice-headshave.
