The South Gloucestershire Show is gearing up for its fifth event on August 4/5.

The annual show has welcomed over 50,000 people over the last two years, but this time round it is expected to be even bigger.

In previous years the event has welcomed football freestyler's, bands and bmx stunt team's amongst a whole host of other acts and performers.

This year the event is going to be its 'biggest yet' according to organisers, with Stampede Stunt Company and the Cossack riders performing breath-taking stunts throughout the weekend. As well as the Little Nippers dog show returning.

A spokesperson for the event has said that they are hoping that this year they greet even more guests than ever before.

"Last year saw over 29,000 take to the South Glos Showground for a weekend of family fun and hopefully two sun filled days will see that number smash through the 30,000 mark." They said.

"Obviously the South Glos Show wouldn’t be the same without the fan favourites in the Country Fair, 2018 will see the return of The JD Pipes Sheep Show, Dog & Duck Show, Meerkats, heavy horses and much more.

"We are celebrating this milestone and the Show is packed with entertainment to commemorate in style. It will be a fantastic event."

Every year the event also nominates a charity that it raises money for. The organisation this year is Jessie May, which provides terminally ill children in South Glos with specialised care in their own homes.

The event takes place at the South Glos Show Showground, Westerleigh Road, BS37 8QZ.

You can get tickets for the event at: southglosshow.co.uk/ticket-info/. Buying tickets online before the event as opposed to on the gate also saves money.

Tickets for adults are priced online at £10, with children priced at £6.
